Divine Digital Blogging for Breast Cancer Blog Party

Hi everybody. Welcome to my stint at the blog party. I'm sure everyone is a little weary after a big week with Cyndi, Mandy and Cinda. We partied hard and got lots of great gifts with papers, wordart, QP's and styles just to mention a few. If you slept in and missed it retrace as per below to catch their gifts.

and once you are done here over the weekend (I have two days remember) don't forget Cyndi Ritter takes over the baton for the next step at cyndiritterdigiscrap.blogspot.com

So what is my 'pink thing' and what is my 'passion'? It was funny I asked my daughter what she thought of when I said the word pink and she said 'flowers', my son said 'girly stuff like unicorns, flowers and fairies' and my partner said 'pink ribbons from the breast cancer campaign'. Me... when I hear the word pink I think fairy floss (I think you guys in the US call it cotton candy). God I used to love it when I was little. I'd feed it to the dog and it would melt as soon as it got in his mouth and he'd be wondering what on earth was going on :) I think you can actually feel you teeth decaying as you eat and you end up with a hot pink tongue but it is great. So I used that train of thought when I designed my freebie and fairy floss lead to lollies and I thought of those little lollies we used to get with the sayings on them. I figured they might be fun.

My passion is digital scrapbooking but hey everybody who is likely to read this would be the same so I won't waffle on about that. One of my other passions is teaching. I taught adults for eight years before my promotion and I just loved it. It is great to see the lightbulb go on above their head as they finally understand something new. I was lucky enough to work with my best friend, who was a highly experienced high school teacher, and she taught me so much about how to help others learn. It's funny over the years I had the high flyers who only had to glance at the book and they knew it back to front, I had students who got 98% in exams, I had students who would cruise through the academic component of the police training so easily and yet my best memory was when one of my mature age students was given his exam back and he broke into the biggest grin before telling me that that was the first time in his life that he had ever got over 80% in a test. He was just soooooo happy and that's when I knew I was doing something right. I love it!!!

Anyway enough about me now it's your turn. Here is Saturday's freebie 'It's All About The Sugar'.

You can find it here. I put it into two folders to make the download just a little quicker.
